For the fifth year in a row, Opportunities NB (ONB) invites high school graduates enrolled in New Brunswick post-secondary institutions to apply for one of 12 NB Proud Awards.

Retention of talent is important to our province’s economic growth. ONB is pleased to yet again recognize high school graduates who demonstrate pride in New Brunswick and a passion to stay and contribute to that growth. The NB Proud Awards encourage students to pursue their post-secondary studies right here and helps to ensure those students are prepared for the opportunities within New Brunswick’s changing economy and workforce.

“Retaining students is critical to the long-term growth and prosperity of our economy,” said CEO Sadie Perron, “Business success is dependent on continued access to a talented, skilled, and knowledgeable workforce. ONB is proud to support New Brunswick students as they look to explore their interests, pursue their goals, and reach new heights right here in their home province.”

This year, applicants were asked to submit a creative video or written essay on living their best life in New Brunswick – showcasing future career aspirations and how they see themselves contributing to the provinces’ success and economic growth. We are looking for positive and creative views on the future here in New Brunswick and we encourage students to have fun with this initiative while still adhering to the technical requirements of the program.

The awards, valued at $1,000 each, will be presented to 12 graduates to support their post-secondary educational goals in any way they choose.

Applications are due by midnight on May 31. (CLOSED)
