October 12, 2017, ROTHESAY (GNB) – A New Jersey-based company, with support from the provincial government, plans to create up to 31 full-time positions at its newly established Rothesay business services centre over three years.
Stafford Communications specializes in customer service, compliance and marketing. It works with pharmaceutical, health-care and food companies across Canada and the United States.
“Your government is focused on economic growth and job creation,” said Aquaculture and Fisheries Minister Rick Doucet. “We are proud that companies like Stafford Communications continue to choose this province because of New Brunswickers’ skilled, bilingual workforce.”
Doucet spoke on behalf of Economic Development Minister Francine Landry, who is also the minister responsible for Opportunities NB.
“We are so pleased to launch our business services centre in Rothesay,” said C.J. Stafford, the company’s founder and CEO. “New Brunswick is the ideal location for our company as we look to support our growing Canadian customer base and our clients across North America. Opportunities NB’s expertise and assistance in helping business grow in the province has been invaluable.”
The creation of up to 31 new jobs over a three-year period is expected to generate an estimated $252,000 in provincial income taxes and contribute $2.4 million to the province’s GDP during that same period.
In support of these jobs, the company is eligible for up to $140,000 in the form of payroll rebates from Opportunities NB, which is a Crown corporation that seeks to attract and support opportunities to grow the economy and create jobs. Payroll rebates are performance-based and only disbursed to a company once it has created and maintained the jobs for one year and provided proof of salary levels and employment.
