April 4, 2017, MONCTON (GNB) – The provincial government hosted a follow-up Economic Opportunities Summit on the Business Services Centre sector on Monday. The summit focused on increasing awareness and opportunities for the sector.

“We are working hard on the priorities that matter to New Brunswickers, like creating jobs, growing the economy, and ensuring quality education and health care for our families,” said Premier Brian Gallant. “In partnership with stakeholders, we are defining the strengths of the Business Services Centre sector to attract and retain business for increased growth opportunities, which will lead to more jobs in the province.”

Representatives from various companies participated in the summit, including Primus, Wyndham, and Rogers.

“Congratulations and thank you to Opportunities NB for taking a leadership role to promote and support our industry,” said RBC advice centre director Joe D’Ettore. “This kind of dialogue will go a long way to furthering success at the corporate and community level.”

Discussions focused on the actions implemented over the past year, as well as developing plans for future action and considering new opportunities for the business services centre sector in New Brunswick.

The event was held as a follow-up to a series of Economic Opportunities Summits that took place last year as a way to identify new prospects for creating jobs and spurring economic growth.
