FREDERICTON (GNB) – Opportunities NB celebrated the province’s top-performing exporters at the 57th annual Export Awards in Fredericton on Thursday.
“New Brunswick’s exporters are demonstrating incredible resilience and innovation at a time when tariffs are creating challenges and barriers,” said Luke Randall, minister responsible for Opportunities NB. “These awards were the perfect opportunity to celebrate the agility of companies who are adapting to changing trade dynamics and seeking growth in global markets.”
The winners were selected by a volunteer panel of business experts from academia and the private sector through a scoring system.
“Export development is a pillar of the support Opportunities NB provides for New Brunswick companies, which is why we proudly celebrate exporters annually at this event,” said Traci Simmons, CEO of Opportunities NB. “More than ever, businesses are leveraging our market diversification programming to find new opportunities. While the trade landscape is in a state of change, one constant is that New Brunswick has great companies offering great products and services that can compete anywhere in the world.”
The 2025 award recipients are:
• Exporter of the Year Award – over $5 million in export sales: Organigram Global
• Exporter of the Year Award – under $5 million in export sales: Anessa Biogas Software
• Global Diversification Award: Ganong Bros.
• Innovative Exporter of the Year Award – under $10 million in export sales: GAP Professional Products
• Yves Maillet Emerging Exporter of the Year Award: Andermatt Canada
• Sustainable Exporter of the Year Award: McDonough Manufacturing Canada
• Woman in Export Excellence Award: Ganong Bros.
• Productivity Impact Award: Clair Industrial Development Corporation (Waska)
Randall said export is a significant contributor to the New Brunswick economy, with $17.4 billion in export sales recorded in 2024.
Opportunities NB is a Crown corporation and the lead economic development agency for the province. It seeks to attract and support opportunities to stimulate the economy and create jobs by providing support services for businesses.
