February 14, 2018, FREDERICTON (GNB) – Appcast will create up to 70 full-time jobs in Fredericton over the next four years with support from the provincial government.

“New Brunswick’s multi-year economic growth plan focuses our efforts on creating job opportunities,” said Premier Brian Gallant. “It is great to have an international business choose to invest in New Brunswick due to our thriving technology sector and strong workforce.”

The New Hampshire-based job-search company is expanding from its current staffing level of more than 70 employees, with the new full-time equivalent positions expected to come in the fields of account management and sales.

Appcast’s software uses programmatic technology to change the way that companies find good-quality candidates, helping organizations find talented staff more efficiently. With employees located across offices in the United States as well as operations in England and Belarus, Appcast’s growth in Fredericton has the potential to be the largest expansion in the company’s history.

“It is extremely gratifying to be here in Fredericton to announce Appcast’s newest expansion,” said Chris Cummins, chief revenue officer. “New Brunswick is uniquely situated to offer Appcast the ability to maintain close links with our workforce both in New Hampshire and in Europe. We would like to thank Opportunities NB for working with us every step of the way. We are confident the tech-savvy workforce available in New Brunswick will be of great value as we continue to build the Appcast brand across North America and around the world.”

The creation of up to 70 new jobs, it is estimated, would contribute $23.6 million toward the province’s GDP over a four-year period and $2.954 million in provincial taxes over that same period.

To support the creation of these new jobs, Appcast is eligible for up to $1.35 million in support from Opportunities NB, which is a Crown corporation that seeks to attract and support opportunities to grow the economy and create jobs. It provides support services for businesses across the province.

The funding comes in the form of payroll rebates, which are performance based and only disbursed to a company once it has created and maintained the jobs for one year and provided proof of salary levels and employment.

Appcast currently supports over 750 clients including Verizon, HP, Lyft, PwC, FedEx, and Kellogg’s.
