SAINT-QUENTIN (GNB) – The provincial government is supporting Atelier Gérard Beaulieu, a long-standing manufacturer in Saint-Quentin, in modernizing its operations and creating up to 30 full-time jobs.

“With a long history in northern New Brunswick, Atelier Gérard Beaulieu represents the kind of resilience and innovation that strengthens our province,” said Luke Randall, minister responsible for Opportunities NB. “By investing in technology and expanding their team, the company is building on its legacy while helping grow our rural economy. We’re proud to support their continued growth as they bring their high-quality, made-in-New Brunswick products to the national stage.”

Founded over a century ago, the family-owned metalworking company specializes in the design and manufacturing of fixed and mobile fuel tanks under the Guardian Tanks brand.

Most of the new positions will support the company’s manufacturing operations, where rising demand has been outpacing production capacity. Recruitment is underway, with employment opportunities listed on the company’s website.

“We’re proud of our roots and about the road travelled,” said company president Marc Beaulieu. “Support provided by Opportunities NB has been helpful in taking this next step. Their team understands the realities of rural manufacturers and has worked with us to invest in technology and workforce development that will make a difference for our company and our community.”

The government, through Opportunities NB, is providing a conditionally repayable loan of up to $179,000 to help with the purchase and installation of a new laser cutting table. Opportunities NB is also providing up to $375,000 to support workforce expansion. The project is expected to contribute up to $7.3 million in direct provincial GDP by the end of 2027.

Opportunities NB is a Crown corporation and the lead economic development agency for the province. It seeks to attract and support opportunities to stimulate economic growth and create jobs by providing support services for businesses.
