Southern Nuclear is a leading energy operator in the United States that operates seven units for Alabama Power and Georgia Power.  They currently operate Plant Farley near Dothan, Alabama; Plant Hatch near Baxley, Georgia; and Plant Vogtle near Waynesboro, Georgia. More recently Southern Nuclear achieved commercial operation on Vogtle Unit 3 and is completing construction of Vogtle Unit 4. Both units represent historic achievements for the nuclear industry as the first new nuclear units to be built in the United States in the last three decades.  For more than 40 years, Southern Nuclear has operated nuclear energy facilities at the highest levels of safety and reliability, creating carbon-free electricity for millions of homes and businesses.
