New Brunswick is the only Atlantic province with a physical presence in India. Strategically co-located with Canada’s High Commission in New Delhi and Consulate General in Bengaluru, these fully staffed in-market offices offer invaluable connections, on-the-ground support, B2B matchmaking, market intelligence, and export counselling for companies seeking trade and investment opportunities in the world’s fastest-growing economy.

Getting Results

New Brunswick’s 2023 India activity created great momentum for the province and its businesses. Highlights include:

  • Engagement of 70 companies via export counselling and programming, including market intelligence reports on eight priority sectors, and B2B matchmaking for 10 businesses.
  • New Brunswick exceeded its 3% year-over-year export sales growth to India (2023 vs 2022).
  • New Brunswick’s Inca Glow is introducing its products to the Indian market. “The B2B business matching program was excellent and ONB’s team in India was outstanding. The quality of communication and follow through was very much appreciated by our team,” says Inca Glow’s Angele Miller. “We are now in closing stages with three quality distribution and salon chain partners in India due to their efforts and the work they put in for us.”

Curtain Raiser

There will also be a pre-departure networking and orientation “curtain raiser” session with the Consul General of India in Toronto, Shri Siddhartha Nath, during the week of October 28. (More details to come on this event.)

What to Expect While in India

This multi-sector trade mission to India will include B2B matchmaking opportunities via in-market consultants, site visits, and networking events with trade and government officials in both New Delhi and a second city that is still to be determined. It also allows participants to engage with New Brunswick-based companies with an existing presence in India to learn their insights and best practices. Beyond the webinar noted above, ONB’s Export Development Team will provide its expert support ahead of the mission to ensure you and your team are ready to hit the ground running.
