May 29, 2017, SAINT JOHN (GNB) – Cardinal Path, a marketing analytics consulting firm, expects to create up to 100 full-time positions in Saint John over the next five years with support from the provincial government.
“Your government recognizes the importance of job creation and economic growth,” said Premier Brian Gallant. “We have seen growth in the high-tech sector here in the province due to our innovative people. The establishment of Cardinal Path in Saint John will further that growth.”
Cardinal Path was founded in 2011 as a merger of three web analytics and digital marketing firms: Ottawa-based PublicInsite, Vancouver-based VKI Studios, and Tempe, Arizona-based WebShare. It offers services and solutions in the areas of digital intelligence and digital marketing. Cardinal Path is part of the Dentsu Aegis Network, a global media group specializing in media, digital and creative communications services.
“The establishment of Cardinal Path in New Brunswick is a great opportunity for the people of Saint John,” said Service New Brunswick Minister Ed Doherty. “The marketing technology and analytics field plays a key role in the digital economy, and Saint John is well-positioned to fulfil the high demand for these jobs.”
Doherty spoke on behalf of Economic Development Minister Francine Landry, who is also the minister responsible for Opportunities NB.
“We were impressed by the commitment of the business community to support growth in the marketing technology sector, and the availability of talent, fuelled by the post-secondary institutions across the province of New Brunswick,” said Alex Langshur, founder and co-CEO of Cardinal Path. “Opportunities NB has served as a trusted guide and business partner throughout this process.”
Opportunities NB is contributing up to $900,000 in the form of a payroll rebate, which will only be provided once the positions have been filled. The government estimates creating up to 100 new jobs in Saint John would add $1.2 million in personal income tax revenue and $17 million in GDP growth over five years.
The financial assistance will support the creation of these jobs, as well as employee training. Most positions will be related to high-tech and marketing analysis.

Opportunities NB is a Crown corporation that seeks to attract and support opportunities to grow the economy and create jobs. It provides support services for businesses across the province.
