May 24, 2016, SAINT JOHN (GNB) – RevJet, a Silicon Valley-based technology company, has moved its research and development office to Saint John, bringing highly skilled software development jobs to the city as well as 20 skilled workers and their families from Ukraine.
“Saint John and New Brunswick as a whole have so much to offer any industry, including the technology sector,” said Premier Brian Gallant. “Saint John is one of the most competitive cities in which to do business in Canada. Businesses like RevJet have noticed and are investing right here in New Brunswick.”
RevJet is a new technology company that was created by LifeStreet Media, a leader in global in-app advertising for Apple iOS, Android and Facebook developments. Several members of the RevJet research and development division worked in the company’s office in Ukraine. With growing unrest in that country and limited visa openings in the United States, the company looked to Canada for opportunities for its team.
Opportunities NB was able to work with the Department of Post-Secondary Education, Training and Labour and the Saint John Multicultural and Newcomers Resource Centre to ensure that RevJet chose New Brunswick to open their new office and resettle their employees. To date, Saint John has seen a total of 48 new arrivals from Ukraine.

We are delighted to have played a part in bringing these highly educated engineers to Eastern Canada.”
Opportunities NB will contribute up to $400,000 in the form of a payroll rebate for creating and maintaining 20 full-time jobs for three years. The creation of these 20 new jobs is estimated to increase the provincial GDP by $2.7 million annually.
Opportunities NB is a Crown corporation that seeks to attract and support opportunities to grow the economy and create jobs. It provides support services for businesses across the province.
