SAINT JOHN (GNB) – The government is supporting a Saint John-based digital health company as it expands into new international markets and builds connections in the medical technology sector.
“We are proud to support MedReddie as they leverage artificial intelligence to improve health-care procurement and efficiency,” said Luke Randall, minister responsible for Opportunities NB. “MedReddie is an exciting example of how an innovative New Brunswick digital health company is creating smart solutions for health-care systems while expanding its presence in global markets.”
The company is developing proprietary machine learning and artificial intelligence models that continuously search and analyze advancements in the medical device industry. Combined with the company’s background in device procurement, this technology helps health-care organizations develop request-for-proposal questions that align with clinical needs and available medical equipment.
“We are grateful to Opportunities NB for their partnership, funding and strategic advisory support,” said Kara LeBlanc, founder and CEO of MedReddie. “This investment enables us to accelerate MedReddie’s global growth and scale our revolutionary artificial intelligence agent – a solution that instantly generates clinically aligned sourcing documents to streamline procurement and deliver real cost savings for health-care systems worldwide.”
Through a non-repayable market development contribution of $25,000 from Opportunities NB, MedReddie will undertake targeted marketing activities, attend medical technology conferences and engage a market consultant to help with global connections.
Opportunities NB is the lead business development agency for the province. It supports local businesses and attracts new investment from around the globe to boost economic and job growth.
