About the NB Export Awards
The New Brunswick Export Awards is the province’s annual flagship event which recognizes the successes and innovative approaches of New Brunswick’s many exporting companies. The ONB-led event celebrates export companies’ contributions to New Brunswick’s exporting strength by achieving extraordinary results in international markets and elevating New Brunswick’s competitiveness in the global economy.

ONB’s annual NB Export Awards gala will take place on May 30 at the Delta Hotels Beausejour in Moncton. The reception will begin at 5:30 pm, followed by a formal dinner featuring local food and beverages, and concluding with the much-anticipated awards ceremony.

Awards Categories & 2023 Recipients
‣ Exporter of the Year (over $5M)
Recognizes companies for excellence in export – with export sales over $5 million and have demonstrated a significant increase in export sales over previous years, along with market diversification, new product development, and innovation.
The 2023 Exporter of the Year Award – (over $5M in sales) was awarded to Corey Nutrition Company Inc.
‣ Exporter of the Year (under $5M)
Recognizes companies for excellence in export – with export sales under $5 million and have demonstrated a significant increase in export sales over previous years, along with market diversification, new product development, and innovation.
The 2023 Exporter of the Year Award – under $5M in sales) was awarded to NorthTaste Flavourings Ltd.
‣ Global Diversification Award
Recognizes companies that have penetrated and/or grown new markets outside of Canada and the U.S. (non-traditional North American markets).
The 2023 Global Diversification Award was awarded to Bulletproof.
‣ Innovative Exporter of the Year Award
Recognizes companies who have successfully employed innovative marketing and sales techniques to expand their export market, launched new products developed specifically for the export market, and/or companies whose product/service is cutting edge in terms of innovation.
The 2023 Innovative Exporter of the Year Award was awarded to Chinova Bioworks.
‣ Emerging Exporter of the Year
Recognizes companies who are new to export within the past five years. Criteria include the volume of export sales, level of difficulty associated with entering the market, and unique approaches taken to enter new markets.
The 2023 Emerging Exporter of the Year Award was awarded to Passiv Inc.
‣ Impact Award
Recognizes a company, either new to the province or that continues to grow its presence here through reinvestment, that has demonstrated a strong commitment to New Brunswick.
The 2023 Impact Award was awarded to Marshall Canada.

‣ Sustainable Exporter of the Year Award
Recognizes companies that have leveraged sustainable practices to enable growth from an export perspective.
The 2023 Sustainable Exporter of the Year Award was awarded to SHIFT Energy Inc.
*Please note that this award is selected separately by ONB leadership from three finalists chosen by judges. Application for this award is not available. All applicants are scored in this category by default.
